General Registration begins in January for the upcoming school year and continues throughout the year. Classes fill early and quickly; reserve your spot. Our calendar school year runs September through May.

^^^^ General Applications for the 2024-25 school year are due back by February 2nd, 2024. Applications received after February 2nd are subject to class availability.

Class Sessions

KNS offers the following sessions:

Pre-K 3 programs for children who will be 3 years old by September 1 of the enrolling year:

• Tuesday & Thursday 9:00 AM-12:30 PM

• Add on a third day: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 9:00am-12:30pm (**LIMITED AVAILABILITY**)

Pre-K 4/5 program for children who will be 4 years old by September 1 of the enrolling year:

• Monday, Wednesday & Friday 9:00 AM-1:55 PM

Classes begin in September after Labor Day and run through the end of May. For vacations and holidays, KNS follows the Berlin Public Schools calendar.

Eligibility

Kensington Nursery School is open to any child, regardless of race or creed.

• For our Pre-K 3 program, children must be 3 years old by September 1.

• For our Pre-K 4/5 program, children must be 4 years old by September 1.

• Children must be fully toilet-trained.

Tuition

Tuition for the 2023-2024 school year:

• Pre-K 3 (Tu-Th) program: $2,103

• Pre-K 4/5 (M-W-F) program: $4,083

Tuition for the 2024-2025 school year:

• Pre-K 3 (Tu-Th) program: $2,148

• Pre-K 3 (Tu-W-Th) program: $3,222 (**LIMITED AVAILABILITY**)

• Pre-K 4/5 (M-W-F) program: $4,353

• Pre-K 3 Extended Day (Tu-Th) program: $1,264

• Pre-K 4/5 Extended Day (M-W) program: $1,200

Enrollment Materials & Timeline

Enrolling your child at KNS? After registering and receiving an acceptance notice, here are all of the forms you'll need, and the dates they're due.

Once your child has been accepted and you've decided to enroll, the following materials are due at the intervals below.

April 1, 2024:

• First $300 Tuition Deposit

• $300 Extended Day Deposit (Optional)

• KNS Student Contract 2024-25 (one copy)

• KNS Extended Day Contract (Optional)

• Questionnaire

• Emergency Card

June 1, 2024:

The following materials are due July 1; late or no submission will forfeit your child’s spot in the school:

• Second $300 Tuition Deposit

• Child Health Form (Note: All currently enrolled children must maintain a current health form at all times)

  Please note that the CT Department of Public Health also requires that all of our students get a seasonal flu shot each year they are enrolled. Please provide documentation of your child's flu shot on or before January 1st.
